The IMS Business Insights Consultant will be a member of the Global IMS Business Insights team, part of Information Management Services (IMS). Together with your peers you are responsible to manage the relationship with our key stakeholders across the organization on a Global level.

You and your peers are responsible to gather all the business insights we need to build an ecosystem that will meet the current and future business needs, based on the concept of the Digital Information Core.   You will identify the right stakeholders and work with them to make most use of our IMS portfolio. You will govern the demand across the CoE’s and assure full transparency for our stakeholders. You will interact with senior leaders and understand their strategies and needs and translate these to the strategic imperatives for IMS. 

As the lead for the Finance community you are responsible for all Business Insights activities related to the Finance stakeholders across the Corporate and BU functions.

• Manage the relationship with key stakeholders of the IMS organization to drive the best customer satisfaction
• Translates the business strategies into IMS services and solutions
• Actively influence and drive a data-driven culture that leverages all IMS expertise areas
• Shape strategic programs for our business stakeholders in the Data & Analytics domain
• Support governance around Data and Reports
• Champions the business user experience across all IMS CoE’s
• Define use-cases and the value they generate to the organization
• Feedback stakeholder experiences with the IMS organization
• Work with the IMS Enterprise Excellence team and our COE’s to deliver great outcomes 
• Requires subject matter knowledge of functional areas like Finance, Sales & Marketing.
• Coordinates delivery of services to user groups 

MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
• Previous Medtronic experience
• Preference given to current Medtronic employees
• Priority consideration will be given to local applicants
• Experience in a functional area such as finance, commercial excellence, sales operations or marketing
• Previous experience working internationally
• Proven ability to influence without authority
• Can demonstrate how data can help to transform a business
• Ability to succeed in a matrixed environment
• Experience with BI, Analytics, MDM and/or Integration Services
• Experience working across business units and geographical boundaries to engage IT, business and team members as required.
• Experience communicating conceptual and technical information to non-technical audiences. 
• Excellent business analysis skills
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work in a virtual organization
• Comfortable with Data Architecture and Data Modeling principles.
