The Senior Manager pumps role  is designed to grow and lead our Pumps Business by providing strategic and tactical direction in order to drive both sustainable financial growth and customer satisfaction across EMEA.

He/she builds and develops the market position by defining long-term organizational strategic goals, identifying market and business opportunities and maintaining extensive knowledge of current and future market conditions.

The position will provide leadership and collaborate closely across the Diabetes regions within EMEA in order to successfully execute the pumps strategy on country/cluster level by giving guidance and support to building key relationships with all customer groups and enhance satisfaction through effective sales management practices, development of individual and team skills required by corporate strategic direction and performance expectations.

He/she partners closely with the Global  pumps team in order to align on strategies and execution and act as critical  linking function between Global and EMEA teams.

The incumbent will lead establish and maintain leadership in product growth and innovation.

He/She is a member of   Therapy innovation team, reports directly to the Therapy Innovatio Senior Director EMEA.


A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

Business & Market Development

  • Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and long-term Pumps business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries.
  • Develops and monitors profitability, productivity and growth targets.
  • Maintain strong understanding of competitive landscape and develop sales strategies and programs to respond to evolving market dynamics.
  • Explores business development opportunities for the MDIS product portfolio.
  • Develops business models and determines market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.
  • Performs economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities.
  • Represents Pumps EMEA on Global level. 
  • Partners closely with the Global Pumps team to align on strategic goals and execution and to build a strong relationship between Pumps EMEA and Global.

Sales Management

  • Assesses need for new selling programs and processes, identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share. 
  • In collaboration with cluster/country Business Leaders develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts and gives guidance for developing and maintaining strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs.  
  •  Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs. 
  • Plans, directs, and monitors the Pumps related activities of the sales teams (field and inside sales) within the EMEA region to achieve established sales targets. 
  • Partners with the rest of the Therapy innovation team to execute collaborative sales strategies that maximize portfolio potential and ensure strong customer relationships. 

 

Integrative Leadership

  • Coordinates with internal departments in identifying and implementing business development projects.
  • Hire, train, develop, coach, recognize and retain high caliber teams committed to excellence in sales performance, people management, customer care and partner relationship building, using all available resources effectively (i.e., Finance, Sales Leadership, Operations and HR).
  • Promote a trusting and progressive culture and develop collaborative relationships across the country, connects well and empathically across all areas
  • Leverage matrix relationships to align others
  • Motivate, lead, and inspire regions to perform to their best abilities.
  • Coaches Sales & Marketing teams on the technical aspects of the Pumps products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Connected Care internal teams to ensure alignment of strategic direction and to regularly report success metrics.
  • Develops and disseminates information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.

  • Team management
  • Accountable for mentoring, developing and coaching staff on meeting and exceeding performance expectations
  • Develop inclusive team and promote our GIDE initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to staff, ensuring prioritization of strategic and tactic initiatives
  • Defines team’s performance goals and objectives, conducts performance reviews and staff 1:1 to guide performance management and employee development efforts, and manage team towards Therapy innovation goals.
Must Have: 
  • BS/BA degree in economical, scientific, IT or engineering discipline.
  • 8+ years related professional  experience including broad multi-functional business experience along with people management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching technology products and services with geographically distributed teams in multi-vendor environments.
  • Proven track record in leading transformation programs in B2C and B2B environments.
  • Solid experience in a large corporate environment with a significant matrix culture. 
  • Experienced in managing the fast paced growth environment.
  • Fluency in English

 

Nice to Have

  • MBA and / or additional post-graduate degree a plus.
  • Other Europen languages a plus.
