A Day in the Life

This role provides pricing support and analysis to US Restorative Therapies Group (RTG) by performing various functions such as: price impact analysis, ad hoc pricing analyses, releasing list price, building price analysis tools, managing unique rebates, maintaining reporting databases and delivering timely, accurate and meaningful analysis.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Partners with pricing managers on price impact reports and establishing proper product hierarchy
  • Analyzes and monitors price impacts to bring more visibility and accountability to the BU and sales management
  • Prepares ad-hoc reports and analysis as required via various systems including SAP, Excel, Business Objects, and Access
  • Partners with Pricing and Contracting teams in developing tools, tactics, and programs to drive price capture and incremental revenue growth
  • Proactively seeks out areas of process improvement
  • Conducts customer-level analytical reviews to generate business intelligence insights for sales and marketing in a senior executive level
  • Supports process improvement efforts for the pricing and contracting organizations
  • Complies with the Medtronic Site Quality and SOX requirements
  • Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations
  • Required to interact and communicate with peers and co-workers
  • Required to spend extended periods of time on computer-based work

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or
  • Master's Degree and 2 years of sales relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent technology
Nice to Have
  • Microsoft Access knowledge
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • An independent quick learner able to synthesize information and focus on most salient aspects.
  • Experience in financial analysis, sales reporting, and experience using a mid-level accounting system. 
  • Knowledge of medical device market and some RTG therapies
  • Extensive experience conducting customer-level analytical reviews to  generate business intelligence insights for sales / marketing senior executive level.
  • Experience in presenting data and analysis to multiple members
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint 
  • Must be flexible and adaptable; must demonstrate good judgment, tact, discretion, and  diplomacy in decision-making authority.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, have excellent communication  skills, be able to handle multiple tasks and have effective time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including accuracy in record  keeping and correspondence.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion & business query tool such as Business Object is a plus.
