This Sr. Program Manager role carries with it the opportunity to help lead the Medtronic  enterprise EU Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) operations workstream to enable the business groups/business units, regions,  and all operations sites to effectively and efficiently implement and release all MDR products. You will be making a major impact across the entire enteriprise is bringing the Medtronic Mission to our patients.

A Day in the Life

This role is responsible for leading the enterprise EU Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR) operations workstream to enable the business group/business unit, regions, and all operations sites to effectively and efficiently implement and release all MDR products. This role will help deliver on the program’s key objectives by collaborating with groups, businesses, regions and functional teams to define, support and deliver innovative and optimized solutions and technologies to enable improved effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring delivery on EU MDR. The Sr Program Manager will lead key initiatives that are critical to ensure the business can continue to market/sell products in the European Region as well as globally. The program is also tasked with ensuring the future state processes and tools are scalable and therefore position Medtronic for the future. As a member of the Global Operations team, this individual will also play a key role in participating as we define, build and implement the MDT Product DNA strategy and will engage with the Ops in PDP Council. This individual will have a chance to enhance business relationships and further develop influence management skills while driving change across a global, matrixed organization. Interested applicants should have solid Program Management skills, a drive for continuous improvement and a passion to be a change agent. 


This position reports to the Sr. Director of Operations in Global Operations and Enterprise Excellence. 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Science
  • Experience managing global initiatives
  • Experience driving change management initiatives across an organization
  • Experience leading efforts in a FDA/ISO regulated environment
  • Experience in the medical industry, ideally the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with ERP, MES and/or PLM systems
