Senior Software Engineer, Mobile Test

Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.

Perform verification test activities for Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) Software products on our mobile platform based programmers & monitors.  Develop tests for mobile, custom medical device applications by designing, implementing, and executing tests for the verification of software requirements.


The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with experience testing mobile platforms, and capable of analyzing software requirements, defining extensible test scenarios, and developing automated tests to verify software following medical device industry standards.

A Day in the Life
  • Analyze, understand, and review software requirements.
  • Interface with product owners and software developers to clarify expected software behavior.
  • Develop and execute automated tests that verify software requirements.
  • Develop or enhance the automated test framework and tools.
  • Establish and maintain traceability from software requirements to verification tests.
  • Participate in the technical review of verification tests and results.
  • Assist scrum team with debugging and solving issues discovered during test.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of problems that are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Estimate effort and duration of tasks and develop and execute plans and strategies to complete the work on time.
  • Operate electronic testing equipment.
  • Prepare, review, submit, and maintain project/product documentation

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • B.S in Engineering/Computer Science and 4+ years of experience (or M.S. and 2+ years)
Nice to Have
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages: C#, Java,
  • Experience analyzing requirements and defining test cases.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience developing automated tests.
  • Experience with .Net Core, Entity Framework Core, ASP.Net Core, and APIs.
  • Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall software development methods. 
  • Understanding of one or more of the following operating systems: Android, and iOS.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, SQL, Hadoop, XML/XSLT, JSON.
  • Quality focus, willingness to learn, versatility and adaptability.
  • Good organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional project teams comprised of software verification and development engineers, system engineers, human factor engineers and quality engineers.
  • Understanding of one or more of the following tools: Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Test Manager, Azure DevOps, Test Hub
  • Design/test experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Experience with software version control tools.
