Senior Software Engineer – TDD Focus

As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on TDD you will have the responsibility and authority to apply extensive technical expertise toward software solutions of complex technical problems and provide solutions that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.  You will be responsible for providing leadership in the development of cutting edge products used in the medical field.

 

A Day in the Life

 

·        You will design, develop, test, and document software components and applications

·        You will lead requirements gathering, estimating and planning efforts

·        You will interface with software development, systems engineering, and test engineers

·        You will troubleshoot, debug, maintain and support existing software products

·        You will support labs and surgical evaluations of products

·        You will represent the company at industry trade shows and customer sites

·        You will participate and lead on-going professional development activities

·        You will identify and implement process improvements

·        Occasional domestic and international travel up to 20%.

 

 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

 

You will have a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or similar Engineering Discipline and 4+ years of software development experience or an advanced degree and 2+ years experience.

 

Nice to Have

 

§  Strong knowledge in TDD methodologies and practices including implementation within a software group

§  Expert programming in C++

§  Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug and test practices

§  Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

§  Experience in software design including OOA/OOD and design patterns

§  Experience with Python, bash, Go, Java

§  Experience with knowledge of modern iterative software design processes and practices (Scrum, Scaled, Agile Framework, Test Driven Development)

§  Project management skills including planning, estimation and requirements management
