The Technical Service team of the RC&TS (Regulatory Compliance & Technical Service) provides advanced technical and clinical (ad-hoc) support to Medtronic field employees, regional technical service organizations and health care professionals.


We are currently looking for a Senior Supervisor Technical Service for the Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) team.

A Day in the Life

The Senior Supervisor Technical Service is responsible for day-to-day leadership of a team of technical service specialists, who support CRHF products. The team consists of 2 sub-teams: a team specialized in implantable products and a team specialized in externals (programmers, Carelink, tablets).


Job responsibilities consist of: people management, team management, goal-setting, KPI monitoring, coaching/mentoring of employees, training, appraisals, recruitment, providing and maintaining technical expertise/skills in the team, involvement in escalated issues and projects.

Next to this, you will part of the Extended Staff of the RC&TS team and involved in defining and supporting the strategy setting of the team.


Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Supervising team members providing technical, project or process supervision.
  • Translate departmental objectives to team and individual objectives, monitor progress and drive completion. Defines and monitor operational objectives for team and individuals.
  • Daily management of the activities performed by the teams: ensure that processes meet customer, regulatory and timeliness requirements. Initiate and support continuous improvement or expansion projects.
  • Spends a portion of time performing individual tasks/projects like setting up/adapting support structures for new products or changes in the organization, implementation/updating IT tools.
  • Build relationships with counterparts in the department, business, customers, countries and marketing. Represent the department in internal and external meetings. Build networks (e.g. with sales, marketing, regulatory and Strategic Business Units) for input on improvement initiatives, and issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of products within CRHF.
  • Prepares, participates to and assists in audits and inspections (internal & external)
  • Management of ad hoc issues and escalations.

Do you have what it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with at least 5 years of work experience;
  • Experience in people management (3-5 years);
  • Work experience in a technical service or customer service environment.
