  • This position forms part of the APAC Planning Innovation Hub, which is a newly formed team within the APAC Planning COE.
  • The APAC Planning Innovation Hub is an Integrated control tower, managing the demand, supply, analytics, digitization activities across APAC Supply Chain Planning. The Innovation Hub has end-to-end visibility of the network and is expected to intervene proactively to mitigate risk and avoid disruption. This will be enabled by supply chain digitization, synergies from process standardisation and centralization of work in a multi-language shared service model across all of APAC.
  • The APAC Planning Innovation Hub together will work together with the COE will develop and align Planning strategies and innovations in close collaboration with the APAC Supply Chain Leadership, Global Supply Chain as well as Business Groups and Finance to develop best in class solutions and processes to our supply chain to provide our customers with the best experience possible.
  • This position will be directly responsible for the Supply Planning and Inventory Management activities fort he assigned operating unit/region. This includes ensuring timely availability of inventory supply into the Hub DCs as well as the spoke replenishments (if applicable)
  • Additionally, this position will cover end-to-end Product lifecycle management from ensuring product availability for NPI (New Product Introduction) to Phase-outs/Product Discontinuation.
  • This role will work closely with the local Region Supply Chain teams, APAC COE teams and Global Operating unit planners to ensure timely product availability and support of APAC revenue commitments. This includes collaborating with Customer Service team on Product Allocation and Order Fulfilment.
  • Perform weekly master data reviews to ensure accuracy of key Planning Parameters in system.
  • Perform weekly inventory analyis to identify excess and shortage of inventory in relation to demand. Communicate and take action to mitigate the gaps to ensure no impact to revenue.
  • Thorough backorder and backlog review weekly and take action to communicate and mitigate risks
  • Support and collaborate closely with Demand Planning to ensure right net requirements are being sent upstream.
  • Analyse and execute on inventory optimization initiatives

A Day in the Life

  • Responsible for ensuring on-time and optimum supply of inventory in the APAC sub-regions and subsequent timely replenishment of inventory to spoke DCs and external customers so as to meet and exceed revenue commitments.
  • Develop and maintain finished goods inventory targets by SKU based on service level objectives, forecast error, and replenishment lead times.
  • Minimize working capital costs by identifying opportunities to decrease finished goods inventory while delivering against service level objectives.
  • Work closely with regional and global Supply Chain functions and other functions (as needed) to support all new product launches and product transitions while achieving performance targets on service level, working capital, and SOGL.
  • Provide analysis of key KPI’s and financial data to identify performance and cost improvement opportunities and execute on those initiatives.
  • Work with the Global teams to address plant-related issues affecting product supply in a timely manner. Responsible for implementing an effective structure/mechanism to collaborate with global, regional and local stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other functions within the APAC Planning COE so as to deliver on the initiatives and goals of the APAC Planning COE and the Planning Innovation Hub
  • Identify and manage improvements in line with the Planning Strategy for APAC that is aligned with the Global Supply Chain strategies and supports the APAC sub-regions to obtain excellence in perfect order fulfillment, cost leverage and sustained productivity, collaborative & innovative strategic partnerships and continuous process improvements.
  • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain
  • Preferred 2-5 years experience in Supply Chain. Fresh graduates welcome to apply.
  • Experience in Medical Device Industry
  • Lean, Six Sigma green or black belt certification is a bonus
  • Effective and seasoned working in a matrix organization and multi-level stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in English, both written and orally, to wide variety of audiences
  • Proven evidence and role model of Medtronic Leadership Expectations
