Must Have: Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate is also expected to utilise usability tools and research methods to provide actionable insights that drive future product improvements and direction

  • Experience in applied product research 
  • Ability to create a research plan including logical formulation of a research hypothesis
  • Basic understanding of quantitative, behavioural analysis and statistical concepts
  • Ability to ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions
  • Experience with a range of qualitative methods including but not limited to interviews, contextual inquiry, concept testing, and diary studies
  • Ability to handle complex information and adapt to a changing environment •Ability to communicate research results to cross-functional stakeholders with data storytelling, presentation slides, and storytelling

Nice to Have
It would be preferable for candidates to have the following qualities

  • Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in human behaviour related fields (Computer Science, HCI, Experimental Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, Political Science, etc.)
  • A passion for surgery, anatomy and technology
  • Experience working with clinicians and health professionals/ surgeons
  • Understanding of health software systems and medical devices -preferably in the surgical arena
  • Proven experience with a variety of Usability Research methodologies and tools (especially UCD processes) and involvement in running a variety of in-house and remote tests
