A Day in the Life


Are you a passionate, dedicated and motivated Shipper/Receiver that will thrive in a position that has the responsibility and authority to fill orders for manufacturing and receive incoming material?

- As a Shipper/Receiver you will, responsible for the accurate receipt and distribution of incoming shipments and associated record keeping.
- Assists in transporting raw materials to production facilities using company owned or leased trucks.
- Supports export compliance and US export and import compliance.
- Responsible for the accurate movement/distribution of finished products and associated record keeping, communications and data entry.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordinates exports of finished goods and raw materials.
  • Relay shipping details, track and trace shipments as needed.
  • Coordinate manufacturing load movement with the sterilizer.
  • Process finished good movements through SAP/Atlas.
  • Package and ship hazardous materials in compliance with DOT guidelines.
  • Interact with Medtronic business units and internal departments as required.
  • Problem-solve product shipment variances.
  • Generate and route export documentation to International destinations (commercial invoices, waybills, export declaration).
  • Generate reports as needed to monitor trends and report activities.
  • Maintain records and files in accordance with record keeping requirements and for easy access
  • Ensure that procedures for lot routing, lot integrity and lot traceability are followed.
  • Maintain current updates and work with corporate compliance, carriers and brokers to ensure compliance with US Customs regulations, FDA, DOT and related regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
High School Diploma is required.

Nice to Have

  • Previous SAP or equivalent ERP experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • DOT and IATA HAZMAT Certification and Training.
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission box truck and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions and to check and count accurately.
  • Familiarity with use of PC’s and data entry programs.
  • Excellent organizational, judgment, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and from written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to keep precise written records.
