POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

This position provides leadership to the Business Development & Strategy team reporting into the Korea BD&Strategy leader, responsible for developing and executing strategic plans which support Korea’s growth strategy.  The role is responsible for developing and driving the implementation of strategic plans and business development initiatives within Korea

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·      Contribute to the development of Korea Annual Strategic Plan, integrating the strategic plans of both business groups and functions into a solid business strategy for Korea.

·       Coordinate the preparation process of regular management reviews such as Korea Growth Strategy, Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews, other Initiative reviews with KOC and relevant regional team(s).

·       Define strategic objectives and long-range plans to achieve growth and financial profitability through licensing agreements, distribution agreements, strategic alliances and other partnership agreements

·       Identify, investigate, and analyze possible M&A, licensing opportunities, and strategic partnerships

·       Manage on-going partnership discussions (licensing agreements, distributions agreements, and others) as the business representative for the company to extract the most value

·       Manage major works streams supporting the successful execution of Korea Growth strategy while also managing the operational performance of key phases

·       Develop and coordinate a harmonized framework for PAA (Patient Access Acceleration) strategy, implementing the most updated process and tools across the Business Group.

·       Provide consistent and structured project management support to BD&Strategy team, facilitating the success of business development projects across Korea.

·       All other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

·       General understanding about Healthcare Industry in Korea Market (Firm understanding on Medical Technology Industry is a plus)

·       Work experiences in the field of Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Market Research, Marketing, and Management Consulting

·       Strong communicator with excellent English

·       Strong Excel analytical skills

·       Demonstrated ability to implement cross-functional projects

·       Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

 

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

·       Demonstrable track record developing strategies and strong business acumen, goal setting and project management skills

·       Excellent interpersonal skills.  Able to communicate with ease at different levels of hierarchy and highly developed communication and influencing skills to target audiences.

·       Ability to respond to deadlines and priorities

·       Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive

·       Good attention to detail

·       Ability to handle competing priorities and a broad variety of tasks simultaneously – multi-tasking

·       Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, upper management, and external partners

EDUCATION REQUIRED: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, and other relevant majors

 

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:  

·       3+ years’ experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Market Research, Marketing, and Management Consulting

Preferred 3 -5 years relevant experience 


Additional Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
