Main Purpose:

 

The candidate will contribute to Medtronic’s growth and success by executing an effective external communications program. These programs will strategically enhance the corporation’s image and reputation through public relations initiatives on behalf of Medtronic and its business units in India

 

The candidate will contribute fully in implementing proactive and reactive internal communications and leadership messaging, content development for social media amplification and media push through. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be ensuring the communications agencies deliver timely and quality outputs as per the strategic plans developed with the site leadership team.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·        Contributing in development of strategic annual/ quarterly and monthly Communication plans for the R&D Center

·        Responsible for planning, writing, editing, coordinating and publishing a variety of complex and/or sensitive communications to support the achievement of business/ centre goals and maintain/improve the company’s image, often in conjunction with other communicators

·        Consults with key project managers/ in-charges to develop communication goals, objectives and plans to best communicate management’s position or message

·        Identifies communication opportunities and the design/medium/channels for execution

·        Analyzes information regarding employee or public opinion and recommend organizational position to management

·        May include responsibility for communications strategy for a large site or small business unit, conducting civic and community relations activities, developing website strategy including look and content, managing moderately complex vendor relationships, serving as designated spokesperson on a variety of issues

·        Develop, write and curate content from internal and external sources.

·        Develop, present and execute content strategy for the social media programs and partner with the ISC/ APAC Social Media COEs

·        Participate in developing methods of measuring the effectiveness of communications programs along with other colleagues within the communications team

·        Establish regular monitoring mechanisms for internal communications programmes & campaigns.

·        Drive higher employee engagement through various communications campaigns.

·        Partner with the site leadership towards leadership messaging and communications. Develop talk track and collaborate to drive better leader profiling and team engagement

·        Partner with the ISC Comms COEs to drive various external or digital opportunities highlighting contribution and employee engagement at the site

·        Effectively manage vendors supporting design and production of various communications materials.

·        Design and execute internal and external events material for Medtronic in line with branding guidelines.

·        Execute end-to-end events internally and externally.

·        Manage, evaluate, & ensure the integrity of communications between the company and its various stakeholders. 

·        Ensure adherence to the corporate guidelines on the general local corporate and individual initiatives.


Qualifications

·        Graduation/ Post Graduation in Mass Communication.

·        A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in internal communications, public relations, media and communications

·        Candidates from IT/ITES/GIC/ Hospitals/ Medical Devices Industry would be preferred.

·        Good Relations with Media/Press.

·        Preference would be given to a Science Graduate with Post graduation in Mass Communication.

·        Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
