A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Counsels and provides partnership to employees and all levels of management across the full spectrum of employee relations matters in alignment with our practices, policies, and local labor legislation.
  • This work includes proactive workplace initiatives and strategies; workplace investigations and internal reviews; performance improvement and discipline processes; end of employment/restructuring; labor relations; crisis management; and, general employee relations coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Develops and leads proactive employee and labor relations strategies to contribute to a positive work environment by leveraging data, addressing areas of opportunity and minimizing risk.
  • Plays key leadership role in restructuring initiatives,  resulting in employee transitions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience in Employee Relations or similar positions.
  •  Bachelor Degree or above in Laws, Human Resources, or Business Administration).
  • Should have strong knowledge in Costa Rica legislation and its latest updates (Nueva reforma procesal laboral).
  • Availabilityto start working on November 2021. 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and proven experience translating data into meaningful, concise.
  • Must have deep knowledge in HR processes. 
  • Should maintain and keep an updated track of the  HR database in alignment with Costa Rica regulations (Local laws)
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English/Spanish (Desirable).
