The CRHF AFS Contract Manufacturing and OEM Post Market Senior Sourcing Engineering Manager is responsible for the engineering operation effectiveness of the Medtronic CRHF AFS Contract Manufacturing & OEM Suppliers.  This responsibility encompasses people management and development, delivering outstanding customer and stakeholder service, solving and preventing quality and manufacturing line supply disruptions with high level of technical rigor and quality standards, implementing continuous improvement programs and maintaining strong relationships with the entire CRHF AFS Operations Organization and other functional stakeholders.  Stakeholders include Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality, Product Quality Experience, Regulatory, Program Managers, Operations Leadership teams, Supply Chain, IT, and the Global CRHF Supply Management Team.

This CRHF CM OEM Senior Sourcing Engineering Manager will collaborate with the CVG CM OEM Supply Management Leaders to develop and drive the strategy of the CRHF CM/OEM Engineering organization in alignment with the Global CVG Supply Management Function.

•Proactively drive the identification and implementation for CRHF AFS Souring Engineering standardization and continuous improvement projects to ensure quality, cost reduction, reduce lead-time, and maximize customer service satisfaction.
Define annual goals and targets in areas for Quality, Service, and Employee Engagement, Inclusion and Innovation
Drive and implement best standard practice procedures to continually improve Quality, Service and Cost
Drive suppliers to own and demonstrate high quality performance through a preventive culture
Through direct line management leadership and oversight, ensure Sourcing Engineering Team operates at increased productivity levels with optimized work flow and responsiveness.
Responsible for defining Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the Sourcing Engineering Team
Manage exceptions to the KPI’s and drive continuous improvement.
Demonstrate leadership and talent management in a manner that supports the company’s culture, policies, and ethics.
Responsible for support team key accountabilities, development, and effectively communicating team role, goals, and expectations that will result in predictable and reliable ongoing supply of quality products and services.
Responsible for Sourcing Engineering employee career development.  Align employee strengths and skill sets to align with business needs/requirements.
Coach, mentor, and challenge engineers within the team on all technical and schedule execution aspects of their respective jobs
Ensure timely completion of CAPAs and Process Change Notifications (PCNs)
Participate in the Sourcing CAPA board as a board member
Ensure representation of sourcing engineering design requirements for manufacturability to New Product Development teams that lead to better highly reliable and manufacturable designs. 
Anticipate and manage resources requirements in support of CRHF CM OEM Supply Management Value Stream Annual Operating Plan
Identify cost reduction efforts, lower cost of contract manufactured product through continuous improvement projects.
Responsible for internal and external audit support in representation of CRHF CM OEM Sourcing Engineering Team.
Monitor, Improve and communicate CRHF CM OEM Sourcing Engineering KPIs
Responsible for the overall activities to validate/qualify and implement, manufacturing processes, equipment, and capital tooling at the contract manufacturing sites.
Liaison with and support Product Quality & Compliance processes and procedures.
Works closely with supply chain leadership to ensure Supply Continuity.  
Responsible for contract manufacturers and OEMs production line continuity of supply with the foundation of quality and compliance.
Collaborate with other CM OEM Value Stream Organizations on CVG and Pan-Medtronic CM OEM strategies and initiatives
All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality regulations including, Quality System Regulation (QSR 21 CFR 820), ISO 13485, Canadian Medical Device Regulation (CMDR) and EU Medical Device Directive (EU MDD 93/42 EEC), Quality Business System and Key Corporate Policies.  As well as compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
Report to the CRHF CM OEM Value Stream Leader and has responsibility for managing the Sourcing Engineering team that supports Medtronic CHRF-MCS CM OEM Product Portfolio


Required:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or related Technical/Scientific discipline)
7+ years of Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Operations experience
People management and or coaching/mentoring experience
5+ years manufacturing engineering experience 

Nice to Have: 
Demonstrated working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820 (Quality Management Systems - Requirements)
Application experience with DOE, SPC, Gage R&R, IQ, OQ & PQ
Demonstrated working knowledge of Medical Device Industry standards
Application experience with Lean Sigma, Six Sigma
Program Management experience
Supplier Management experience

10+ years medical device manufacturing experience or contract manufacturing management
Experience with project and cost center budgets
Virtual and matrix management
Global Collaboration and Engagement experience
Management of a cross-functional and cross-geography team
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
Excellent coaching and people skills
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
High customer focus and understanding of customer needs.
Technically competent and able to provide clear direction to engineers.
MBA
