Sr. Neuroscience Strategic Solutions Manager - LATAM

Summary of Position:

The Sr. Neuroscience Strategic Solutions Manager will manage the Neuroscience Strategic Solutions team including Strategic Solutions Managers and Specialists to provide subject matter expertise on issues regarding healthcare strategy, hospital operations, patient care services, and clinical program development specific to disease states and procedures included in the Restorative Therapies Group. The position will craft the vision, strategy, goals and objectives for the Neuroscience Strategic Solutions team while developing the capability and capacity of team members.

Main responsabilities

  • Provide vision, strategic direction, thought, technical, & motivational leadership, without direct oversight or appreciable direction, to RTG Latam’s Neuroscience Strategic Solutions Team.

  • Responsible for growing the neuroscience market in Latin America by creating solutions that strengthening referral pathways and build neuroscience capabilities within partner hospitals.

  • Execute regular communication cadence with prominent stakeholders throughout the Medtronic matrix including communications of Market Development initiatives’ impact and key metrics to senior leadership, Latam RTG staff, and cross-functional partners.  

  • Provide leadership to team to enact best-in-class metrics and KPI tracking.

  • Works in conjunction with Key Account Managers and RTG Leadership to evaluate and determine healthcare systems appropriate for partnership or consultative opportunities while supporting efforts to build relationships.

  • Evaluates and determines needed program offerings for hospitals and healthcare systems to capture improvements in patient flow, patient outcomes, revenue stream, and other areas for efficiency and may deliver or participate in the delivery of the programs  

  • Helps determine program offerings that are needed and participates in the development and delivery of the offerings

  • Interacts and collaborates with hospital and physician stakeholders to determine value related strategies and programs

  • Contributes as primary core team member for projects related to health system value analysis

  • Engages with and interfaces with the business units in RTG as well as other areas of Medtronic

  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Requirements:


Education Required:

·         BA or BS in nursing or related life science, finance, or healthcare area; MS, MPH, MHA, or MBA with a specialization in strategy, consulting, healthcare, or finance preferred


Experience Required

·         Minimum of 8 years of experience working in Healthcare consulting/Medicine/Patient care/clinical work and/or supervisory/hospital administrative experience in healthcare systems and 5+ years of management experience.

·         OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 6 years working in Healthcare consulting/Medicine/Patient care/clinical work and/or supervisory/hospital administrative experience in healthcare systems with 5+ years of managerial experience.



Mastery level knowledge and skills in healthcare consulting, medicine, healthcare program management, or hospital administration.Project management experience and Strong proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook

·         Mastery level knowledge of the efficiency and revenue mechanisms for various areas of care, e.g. inpatient, outpatient, ancillary services

·         Mastery level knowledge of hospital business systems including performance metrics, process flow, and managed care contracting

·         Mastery level knowledge of healthcare compliance systems, quality improvement, and training requirements, coverage, and payment mechanisms.

·         Understanding of the medical device industry

·         Specialized training in one or more of the following areas: medicine, clinical, financial, healthcare administration, healthcare consulting.

·         Experience building and leading geographically dispersed teams.


·         Portuguese fluency

Working Conditions


Travel will be required at approximately 60%.  Flexible working conditions may include office settings or working remotely.
