A Day in the Life

POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Drive strategic support of sales imperatives across RTG LATAM by partnering with the cluster-based sales leaders through facilitating strategic processes such as Strat Plan and AOP.
• Utilize influence management with the LATAM RTG Sales teams (Sales representatives and Clinical Specialists), to help identify, initiate, collaborate, and drive execution of RTG sales imperatives. Sales imperatives include sales strategies, business unit priorities, marketing strategies, and other critical sales/customer support initiatives in the field.
• Optimize operational processes and capitalize on synergies across RTG operations.
• Work directly with the field teams and closely with LATAM marketing, sales training, supply chain, finance, RTG contracts & pricing, customer care, RTG OTC (Sales Operations), RTG Sales Leadership.
• Support RTG Key Account Management projects and strategic alliance to ensure alignment of key account programs, allocation of resources for implementation of sales driven programs, as well as the development of key analytics and metrics.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizing sound data, influence business performance, lead customer relation strategies and recommend courses of action when needed
• Create and drive strategies and programs to optimize inventory levels in the organization.
• Serve as the commercial excellence liaison to supply chain and cluster BU leaders.
• Partner with sales leaders and finance to ensure asset and inventory management targets are achieved, such as inventory levels, OPC etc.
• Support the OTC (order to cash) and business review process
• Lead and actively develop and maintain a variety of operations in support of the sales force, such as territory alignment, productivity performance metrics, market trend analysis, efficiencies and sales reporting across all levels in the RTG LATAM organization.
• Partner with RTG sub-region leaders to drive annual AOP process, business planning and strategic goal setting for the fiscal year.
• Drive and represent RTG in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) and serve as strategic RTG Operational goal setting for the fiscal year.
• Drive alignment between key stake holders in the forecasting, AOP and strat planning processes.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to RTG sub-regional leaders for the identification and execution of sales strategies.
• Assist, advise and help cluster BU leaders lead cross functional teams reviewing the development and deployment of sales strategies, including but not limited to, cross selling products/services from other MDT divisions (RTG leverage). Help lead the team on all administrative coordination required to adopt new sales strategies.
• Monitor and communicate performance to RTG sub-regional leaders on a regular basis to include key account sales.
• Provide analytical assistance, as needed.
• Help ensure the “voice of the field” is considered at all levels in the development of marketing strategies, marketing programs, and business unit decisions that impact the customer and execution of distribution strategies.
• Establish cross functional business teams as needed. Participate in cross functional business teams that are responsible for sales force efficiency and effectiveness.
• Obtain and provide feedback from the sales managements’ perspective. Help drive performance to stated team objectives.
• Active partnership and participation in account-level product launch and service launch planning activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas that positively impact the sales cycle and/or sales support functions to drive sales effectiveness and efficiency.
• Represent RTG on pricing council
• Articulate the sales business requirements to the IT, finance organizations in support of improved tool and resource optimization.
• Travel 50%

 


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• English, Spanish (read, write, speak) required. Portuguese highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed business environment and to work effectively with sales, sales management, and Business Unit Management
• Proven ability to build and facilitate strong, productive working relationships with a wide variety of cross-functional and customer contacts.
• Strong business analytical skills
• Previous leadership experience and ability to influence and motivate direct and cross functional teams to results.
• Experience with sales, marketing and business strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Experience working cross-businesses on best practice sharing, and resource leverage initiatives.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, accounting or finance
• MBA or master’s degree in marketing, finance, communications or supply chain

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 5 to 18 years Marketing, Finance and/or Sales Leadership Support experience, preferably in med tech industry

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Solid software proficiency in: MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Understanding of LatAm’s Healthcare sales and reimbursement market
• Ability to:
o Anticipate and meet deadlines
o Attention to detail
o Ability to be discreet and to retain confidential information
• Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
• Excellent presentations skills.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing business/negotiation environment; ability to rapidly acclimate to change and embrace new business opportunities
• Proven teamwork and leadership abilities


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience in with companies in the medical industry or similar regulated industry preferred.
• Experience managing complex medical device distribution models (i.e. disposables, capital equipment, or implantable)
