A Day in the Life
To take in, evaluate, process and close out external research programs (ERP). To advise internal stakeholders on scientific evidence and to provide input on gaps, conclusions and reasonable scientific work required to solve complex problems of diverse scope that lead to the development, reimbursement, approval, marketing of new products, product features or services.To disseminate clinical evidence both internally as well as externally.



Represent a therapy as the scientific expert and provide advice to internal stakeholders.

Review of ERP proposals and analysis of data and evidence gathered from existing ERPs 

To approve scientific claims in communication material

Preparation of evidence dossiers such as HTA, clinical evidence reports, gap analysis, claims matrix, value summary etc.

Support of reimbursement strategies

Support regulatory approval and certifications

Provision of therapeutic and clinical training

Interpretation and dissemination of research data and literature.

Medical writing 

Assure that state of the art scientific technical and/or clinical methods are applied and that projects meet professional, scientific and statistical standards.

Support the design of applied research studies in the medical, scientific and/or technical field applying extensive expertise of technical and scientific quality, and investigate and formalize requirements for application of research results in new or existing products; assess development efforts required.

Support new creations/inventions and propose product improvement and/or identify therapy extensions and procedural improvements and champion new ideas for implementation by presenting to and influencing peers and upper management.

Identify and propose new areas with future business opportunity; identify and propose spin-offs in current feasibility work.

Identify and formulate patent and licensing opportunities resulting from projects and champion and sell novel ideas to workgroup, peers and (upper) management.

Interact and communicate effectively at all levels throughout the company and represent the organization outside the company.

Provide corporate-wide technical expertise and consulting.

Initiate, define and participate in collaborative relationships with external scientists/clinicians.

Provide expertise in support of Product Development Programs.

Congress preparation and visits and reporting of clinical evidence

Development of clinical evidence

Participation in project and Therapy Core Teams.

University degree in life sciences, medicine, or other applicable disciplines

Advanced University degree (MBA, PhD, MD)
