The Technical/Training/Compliance Specialist is an individual contributor on the Americas region Training, Communications, and Ethical Culture team who will support the execution of their programs. Through the Medtronic Shared Service Center in Bogotá, Colombia, the Technical/Training/Compliance Specialist will help implement key materials supporting the training and communication of key behaviors, processes, and messages that create and foster an ethical and compliant culture.  You will connect our team’s resources with internal websites and learning management system (LMS). This role must maintain an understanding of ethical principles, how those principles ultimately align with the Medtronic Mission, and be an ambassador for always doing the right thing. 

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage the logistics and implementation for compliance program training, communication, and ethical culture initiatives including managing and deploying content on internal website 
  • Support instructional designers in deploying training content to the LMS and support learners with online learning problems. 
  • Communicating and coordinating with LMS Operations for elearning course launches
  • Managing files and databases of training, culture and communication materials in collaboration with team
  • Ensure communication and training records are reviewed, tracked, and maintained to support compliance obligations
  • Use web software to build, edit, and maintain web pages (prior experience in Adobe Experience Manger a plus)
  • Build and maintain SharePoint pages, libraries, and team collaboration tools 
  • Ability to dive in, analyze a situation and figure it out; self-directed, works independently
  • Attention to detail, including copy-editing for visual consistency (ex: all headers the same)
  • Knows MS Office suite well, especially PowerPoint – eager to learn more tools, quick learner
  • Organized and able to maintain “status” on multiple workstreams and/or projects at once
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders, escalating issues to leadership as needed
  • Model a culture of ethics and integrity
 
 
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant training experience or a
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 0 years of related training experience.
  • Basic to intermediate level use of Adobe Creative Suite (photo, video, audio production)
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to communicate fluently in American English and Spanish, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees at a variety of functional and management levels
  • Strong communication skills in writing, in person, and by phone

Nice to Have
  • Compliance experience in healthcare, medical device, or pharmaceutical manufacturing 
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience integrating brand standards 
  • Experience with a company-wide LMS
  • Flexible with priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
