Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in communications, labeling and/or technical writing and/or, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience in communications, labeling and/or technical writing.


Nice to Have

  • Experience managing a technical writing team in a regulated environment, specifically medical device or medical industry

  • Experience as a direct manager of a large functional team reporting into a matrix hierarchy of program core teams

  • Experience managing and launching a component content management system such as Vasont or SDL Knowledge Center

  • Knowledge of Medtronic and its product portfolio

  • Experience leading translation and localization projects, including engaging with translation suppliers

  • Proven ability to work effectively with others across departments/disciplines to implement solutions

  • Strong change management and project management skills, including guiding direct reports to tackle complex project requests/deadlines with shifting priorities

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate internally and externally, and across various levels of the organization

  • Shares and exchanges relevant information to reach solutions, and gaining cooperation of other parties

  • Proven ability to work independently and motivated to perform at a high-level with little supervision

  • Excellent ability to plan, schedule, and arrange own activities in accomplishing objectives

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and liaising across functional business units

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail
