This position requires the ability to accomplish assignments with limited supervision, perform diversified mechanical, electromechanical or electronic technical duties in fabricating, testing, debugging and documentation of moderately complex to complex assemblies, sub-assemblies and simple engineering development models and/or adaptations of standard product and new processes and equipment maintenance.


A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • ·        Electronic and mechanical assembly and trouble shooting of the equipment

    ·        Basic processing equipment assembly and alignment

    ·        Mechanical adjustment, calibration and repair, based on process analysis and specifications

    ·        Perform routine process analysis to verify accuracy and completeness of established process

    ·        Provide on-line technical support to Production

    ·        Collaborate with Engineers to achieve reduced manufacturing costs and quality initiatives

    ·        Provide verbal and written work direction to other technicians


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience
  • High School Diploma required
Nice to have

·      Progressive technical certifications

·       5+ years of technical experience in Manufacturing

·       Ability to work overtime as required

·       General metrology skills (eg.,  experience with machinist microscopes, calipers, ROI, and weight scales)

·       Knowledge of Plastics Processing and Plastics machinery maintenance

·       5S and Lean Manufacturing Skills

·       Excellent manual dexterity

·       Electrical and mechanical problem solving skills

·       Ability to use bench top test equipment and custom manufacturing test stations

·       Ability to read, and redline engineering documentation (eg., execute IQs, EBRs, equipment documentation)

·       Experimental techniques (maintaining a lab notebook, statistics knowledge

·       Experience with GMP requirements and medical industry requirements

·       Clear understanding of EHS requirements.

·       Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word

·       Able to define PM procedures and review/maintain spare parts for the equipment

·       Ability to escalate equipment downtime

·       Experience with all requirements of electrical LOTO, chemical handling and hazardous waste guidelines

·       Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each

·       Prioritize and balance workload of multiple project assignments based on business and functional objectives.

·       SolidWorks modeling experience

·       Minitab or statistical software

·        PLC programming

·       Experience in process and tooling development, test method development, data acquisition and analysis
