The Respiratory Interventions Training Manager is responsible for creating, organizing, and implementing training for sales representatives who sell to acute customers.  The incumbent is expected to work closely with all commercial leaders in RI including Sales, Commercial Operations, Marketing, PACE/Medical Affairs and HR functions.  This position will continually evaluate and measure the effectiveness of all training, collaborate with cross-functional partners towards achieving business goals, and recommend improvements in all training programs based on measurable metrics and evaluations. 

Position is based in Boulder, CO or can be remote from anywhere in the US (additional travel required)

A Day in the Life 

The following responsibilities are minimum requirements for this position:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate all phases of sales training classes including New Hire Training, Clinical & Product Training, Patient Conditions/Procedural Focus, Competitive Product Differentiation, Sales Methodology, Economic Selling, Product Launch support and Field Sales Training
  • Assist in the creation of sales training curriculums and support materials for both New Hires and current sales representatives using adult learning principles
  • Continually evaluate and improve all facets of the sales training process and design, develop, and implement training programs that build commercial capability
  • Interface with sales and marketing to ensure training programs are in alignment with strategic imperatives
  • Work with Marketing to integrate strategic focus and messaging to our customer segments through targeted training of field sales representatives
  • Align with product marketing teams to support collateral material and programs for existing portfolio as well as new product launches to meet strategic goals, including new sales channels
  • Attend/Plan sales meetings and area meetings in support of corporate initiatives
  • Manage Field Sales Trainers to provide effective training experience for new hire sales representatives
  • Effectively model and coach in delivery of training content
  • Assist the Commercial Capabilities Training Operations team with the development of training tools and processes for training new and experienced sales reps, both North America and globally, and support creation of sales training curriculum materials
  • Partner with Medical Affairs with the development and deployment of clinical/technical educational training materials for field sellers
  • Pursue highest standards of support and service to exceed customer expectations
  • Support the overall mission of Commercial Capabilities to provide the Medtronic sales and marketing organizations with timely and focused learning experiences
  • Execute existing training programs to meet needs and enhance sales effectiveness by training on salesforce.com best practices
  • Non-tech training support
  • Lead sales training classes
  • Continually evaluate and improve all facets of the sales training process
  • Support design and delivery of all new hire sales training
  • Partner with field leadership on performance management
  • This position will support capability development of all commercial employees, with a focus on the sales force

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales/technical clinical experience in the respiratory industry 

Nice to Have

  • Professional Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
