A Day in the Life

Main responsabilities may include :

  • Brings advice to research sequence and prioritization in a digital transformation effort of Offer-To-Cash including Order-To-Delivery processes.
  • Assists in providing input that will help determine immediate and long-term Marketing Research needs including Primary and Secondary Research, Concept Testing, and Efficacy Studies.
  • Proposes both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to meet objectives. Manages research projects including following through on study design, creation of various tools and study materials, deployment, data capture, analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings.
  • Conducts quantitative and qualitative projects. (Co-)author research tools such as discussion guides or questionnaires, develops criteria for materials that need to be created by other departments, conducts interviews or group discussions, conducts analyses, creates reports, and presents findings as needed.
  • Researches vendors and makes recommendations for hiring vendors who provide recruitment, data collection, analysis, tabulation, and various types of quantitative and qualitative expertise.
  • Provides expertise in gathering literature on trends and providing an analysis of market needs; May also direct work of outside resources.
  • Communicates with internal systems department any data and reporting needs required for research studies.
  • Oversees recruiting or conducts recruiting for studies as necessary Composes requests for quotes (RFQ) and requests for proposals (RFP) to obtain bids for current, approved research, provide choices to management, and monitor ongoing project costs. Coordinates project schedule development, confirms schedule, and monitors project schedule, ensuring that both the timetable and the objectives are met


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, penetration, competitor assessments, marketing practices and trends, and prepares forecasts and recommendations.
  • Researches market conditions in assigned areas to determine potential sales of a product or service.
  • Keeps informed about developments in the government, military, economic, scientific, political, industrial, and international fields as they apply to the organization's future marketing plans.
  • Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their strategies, prices, sales, and method of operation.
  • Collects and maintains information on the requirements, organization, budget, and preferences of prospective customers and competitors.
  • Organizes information to assist in analyzing future products and makes recommendations for the development of new products or services.
  • May compile and analyze statistical data on past sales and trends to forecast future trends and state-of-the-art changes.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in business, can consider finance
  • 2 years conducting primary market research including experience with quantitative methodologies. • Experience with research design and sampling, data analysis and report writing.
  • Experience with research in digital commerce usability and user experience

Nice to Have

  • Master degree in BusinessAdvanced degree in quantitative methodologies.
  • Advanced degree in quantitative methodologies.
  •  Experience with running market research projects with patients in the healthcare industry or consumer goods.
